GUALALA — November 2, 2026. The campground at Gualala Point Regional Park lies east of Highway 1 in a forested area along the Gualala River, offering an overnight alternative to the coastal day-use lawns.

Two settings in one park

Gualala Point has a riverside wooded campground and separate day-use trails west of Highway 1 leading toward coastal bluffs, estuary and beach. The campground is managed by Sonoma County Regional Parks.

Reservations and stay rules

The county’s camping materials describe reservations accepted up to six months ahead, with access and cancellation conditions specific to the site. Campers should verify current fees, vehicle limits and any site restrictions before booking.

What campers need to check

The park is exposed to winter rain and falling-tree risk. County staff may move or close specific sites because of flooding or maintenance. Bring clothing suitable for coastal weather and keep food secure against wildlife.
